I can’t believe you called
We talked for over 10 minutes
And then you called and told me all about the chaos
As we shared laughs
I’m laughing my heart out
Over what’s genuinely funny to me
And I laughed so hard today
Out so loud
You should have seen me this morning
As if I had given up on all sorts of expression
As if I had given up on you
And had enough
But you were okay
And so was I
As we joked
I’m thankful for the calls and the laughs
But help me God with transitions
These waves
Crashing and leaving nothing behind
Losing my eyes
Losing my step
As I fall into deep waters
I tried to avoid it
Avoid us being together
Even when I knew I had to stay
But you called me over
