Layouts
Rummage through the dirt
Collect what you can
Run your fingers through a steel tumbler of water
Wash them clean
Let your city breathe
Try to get out of everybody’s way
Stare blankly out closed windows
Make plans
Take pictures
We’re relieved that our friends are not together anymore
We love them too much to want them to stay
But this is hard for them
Rethink your work spaces
Your closest circles
Start again
Forget the exits
Ask again
Even though you’ve been here before
We’re missing what we’re seeing altogether
Our minds are not here every second
We lose count of the times we drift
Watching the world pass us by
slowly
How is there still water to wash ourselves
In this dusty city
Pollution is discriminatory to my blind eyes
We don’t know how to respectfully receive
abundance
We don’t know how to progress towards goals
despite our circumstances
There is potential for prosperity
But we can’t decide between what helps us and hurts us
The whole world is your wasteland and oyster and your meal kit
Requests for observational visits
are falling through
We have designs in mind
But we need case studies
We need references
Someone let us in
All we need
is to design a new space
with reference to an existing one
and answer an advocacy call to save
displayed on public transportation:
save girl child
save water
