Pedestal
I'm tired
Of all this misjudging
The place you take when it comes to me
A pedestal where you stand sure
As you put words in my mouth
Thinking for me
As if I'm incapable of doing
What is a part of me
Here you are
In a higher place
Here I am
Down here
On this ragged ground
There is not a hint of sound
When I fall here
With you up there
Why do you throw me here?
With every confident misjudgment
I weaken
And hopelessly scream
I'm so tired
I am capable of simplicity
My intentions are honest
And not as heartless as you make it so
You make me worthless
While He makes me
Worthy
Of redemption
Of all this misjudging
The place you take when it comes to me
A pedestal where you stand sure
As you put words in my mouth
Thinking for me
As if I'm incapable of doing
What is a part of me
Here you are
In a higher place
Here I am
Down here
On this ragged ground
There is not a hint of sound
When I fall here
With you up there
Why do you throw me here?
With every confident misjudgment
I weaken
And hopelessly scream
I'm so tired
I am capable of simplicity
My intentions are honest
And not as heartless as you make it so
You make me worthless
While He makes me
Worthy
Of redemption
