Lead me away from my harmful theology 

My allegiances are divided 

Can I see You in my neighbour?

I’m afraid that I’ve left You 

In search of something like You

When nothing can rightfully take your place

Why did I run 

When I already had 

Everything that I needed?

Was it because 

You were not what I wanted?

I love images of You 

But not to the lengths You call me to 

You are the fount of being 

But I don’t last long 

In love

In mercy 

Like You do 

Is my love true?

The great I Am

Can I learn to love like You?
